The Story Time (programs for early-childhood literacy) days will be changing for the Melrose branch, starting in January 2015. Toddler Story Time (for children 0-2 years old and their caretaker) will switch to every Thursday at 10 AM. Preschool Story Time (for children 3-5 years old and their caretaker) will occur at 10 AM on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The Story Time Programs use five practices that can be integrated into everyday activities to help children learn pre-reading skills. These fun activities also make special family memories. Children, together with their parent or caretaker, will be actively involved in the program. Each program will last about 45 minutes. These free and fun family programs are presented by the Putnam County Library System. The Melrose Public Library is located at 312 Wynnwood Avenue behind the post office in Melrose. For more information about this and other library programs call (352) 475-1237. Trinity Baptist Church invites you to join us for the Johnny Hunt Men's Conference Simulcast, January 30th and 31st 2015. This event is free and open to all men in the area. Friday night January 30th starts at 6:30PM and runs until 10:00PM. Saturday morning January 31st starts at 7:00AM and runs until 12:30PM.
The theme for this conference is: WIN FROM WITHIN--Feel the Force of Forgiveness!
Victory in any case comes from the heart! When it comes to sin, many men are more familiar with defeat. A winning heart is a forgiven heart and a forgiving heart! No matter what kind of losing (or winning) streak you may find yourself in, in this conference we'll tackle once and for all the issues that keep us from the goal line. It starts with God's forgiveness--the freeing force that fuels the most epic comebacks!
DON'T REMAIN SIDELINED BY PAST REGRET OR FEAR OF FAILURE. JESUS CAN LEAD US ALL TO WIN, AND HE BEGINS FROM WITHIN.
Please call Trinity Baptist Church to let us know you are coming to the free Johnny Hunt Men's Conference Simulcast so we can plan for the continental breakfast on Saturday and snacks throughout the even. The phone number is 352-473-7261.
Trinity Baptist Church is located on Highway 21, two and one half miles south of Keystone Heights. Please contact the church if you have any questions. 352-473-7261

Flu and cold weather trigger blood emergency! While the holidays typically bring a slowdown to blood donations, this winter's flu epidemic and the cold weather in the southeast cut even deeper into the blood supply. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is now in emergency need for blood. "This is coming at a time when supplies were already low because of reduced donations during the winter holidays" said LifeSouth Vice President of Operations J.B. Bowles. "Meanwhile, blood usage at many of our hospitals is far above normal, making the shortage even more serious." Donations are down 40% from where the supply needs to be to provide hospitals with enough blood for patients. This has especially impacted the supply of Type O blood which is needed most.

O-negative is the universal blood type that can be used by anyone in emergencies. O-positive can be used by anyone with a positive blood type! We are in desperate need of healthy donors to come out and donate blood. The Centers for Disease Control reported in early January that 43 states, including Florida, Georgia and Alabama, are experiencing either high or widespread flu activity. We are in emergency need. We only use this term when inventory levels are at the very lowest It means our hospitals have less than a two-day supply and LifeSouth does not have the blood available to resupply the hospitals when that blood is used. Please help. Please donate blood! Donors must be 17 or older, or 16 with parental consent, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required. For information call 888-795-2707.
