The Putnam County Library System welcomes Lee Hansen, Advance Care Planning Facilitator and public speaker, to the Melrose and Interlachen Public Libraries this May for Older Americans Month. Hansen's free, advanced care planning presentation Coffee, Tea, & Mortality combines advance directives like the highly popular and effective "Five Wishes" with a broader realm of advance care planning for those approaching end of life. Hansen has nearly 40 years of accumulated specialized knowledge that he shares free of charge at libraries and community centers across the state. The presentation lasts approximately one hour and concludes with an open-ended question and answer period.

Hansen does not discuss any legal, financial, or insurance matters nor does he sell any product or service. "My focus is on enabling adult listeners of all ages to take greater control of their personal and family lives," Hansen said. This presentation is part of a series of workshops aimed at older adult patrons beginning in May at all five library branches. For more information about upcoming Cyber Seniors basic computer and internet classes or Veterans Issues Panel (led by the American Legion), contact your local library.
