Boxing Legend Christy Martin Brings Future Boxing Stars to Daytona Beach. professional boxing event at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Doors open at 4 pm and the first boxing match will begin at 5 pm. The Hard Rock Hotel is hosting an after party immediately following the final bout. “Florida was an important part of my professional boxing life”, said boxing legend Christy Martin. “This was the place I lived and trained for many of my title fights. I’m honored to return home to bring world class, competitive boxing to Daytona Beach, Florida. The fighters on this card will be the same fighters you see on Showtime and Pay-Per-View in the near future.” Hometown favorite, Benny Aguilar (1-0) from Crescent City Florida, is headlining the event in a tough match against Caleb Bailey (0-2) of Salisbury, North Carolina. Evan Holyfield , son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield, is going after his third straight victory against crafty veteran Travis Nero. Evan is represented by international promoter, Main Events Promotions. Rebecca Cruz (2-0) , a high school student in Bonita Springs, Florida is fighting Elizabeth Tunai (0-1) who is traveling all the way from SeaTac, Washington to be a part of this show. Fans will also get a glimpse at the up and coming boxing prospect, Stevie Massey (10-1) of Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to hometown favorites, boxing fans are geting to witness some of the world’s best boxing prospects as the Battle of the Beach 2 card is full of young, international stars. These include Ermal Hadribeaj (2-0-1) of Albania, Oscar Garcia (4-0) of Dominican Republic, Nikolay Shuab (2-0) of Kazakhstan and Arturs Ahmetovs (5-0) of Latvia.
“Battle of the Beach 2 is where all sports fans will want to be,” said Martin. “This is a unique opportunity to get to witness tomorrow’s world title holders. We have some of the best young
talent in the world on this card all in tough, competitive fights.” As a professional boxer Martin put together a historic career in the light middleweight division.
Martin’s career spanned from 1989-2012 and consisted of 59 fights in which she collected 49 wins, just 7 losses and 3 draws. Martin won the distinction of the WBC nomial women’s
lighweight champion of the world in 1996 and won her first belt in 2009, when she defeated Dakota Stone to win the vacant WBC Women’s Super Welterweight title. Martin retired from
