Whether you’re an experienced enthusiast or a birding novice you’re bound to take delight in the variety of herons, egrets, wood storks, hawks, wood peckers and owls swishing through the trees at Fort Mose. Birders of all levels are invited. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring binoculars and a field guide. The program is weather permitting
In addition to the program, the park’s museum and visitor center will be open. Visitors can watch a 15-minute film on the history of Fort Mose and its residents, as well as learn about the site through the interactive museum exhibit.
There is no fee for this program. There is a museum entry fee of $2.00 per person; however, museum entry is not required to participate in the program.
