As a non-commercial, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we refer to our "advertisers" as "underwriters" or "sponsors". We do not air traditional commercials, which we refer to as "sponsor spots". The wording of a sponsor spot differs slightly from a traditional commercial. As an underwriter or sponsor, we publicly thank our businesses for their support, and give a brief description of their business and the services offered. This is still very effective for businesses in getting their name out to our listeners.
