My friend Angelica knows I'm in the studio early in the morning, so she occasionally sends me photos or videos of the sunrise she sees on her way to work.
Some days the sunrise is absolutely magnificent. Colors slowly transform the sky into a variety of shades. Other days, there's a ball of fire that boldly appears.
But a lot of days? Light just slowly arrives until eventually it becomes day. Somehow the sky goes from black to light blue, never a hint of yellow. Yet you know the sun is there and doing its job.
I think our walk with the Lord is like that. Every once in a while He does something absolutely spectacular and we know it's Him! However, most days there's nothing remarkable. We just walk in faithfulness because we know He's there. Even on the days when we look up and all we see are clouds, there's still light. So we trust He is there.
So whether you see the sun shining or not, let it be a reminder that the Son of God is with you!
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation. -Colossians 1:15
