I'm a big Carrie Underwood fan. And her new album has a gorgeous song called Garden. It goes like this:
Feels like God's askin' me some questions If your words were seeds that were goin' in the ground And your love was rain farmers prayed about If your life was sunlight we all needed What kinda world would it be? If you reap what you sow What kind of garden would you grow?
This concept is actually biblical.
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. -Galatians 6: 7-8
Good or bad you will always reap what you sow—you will always harvest the consequences of your choices. –Randy Alcorn
So today, I ask you, what will you sow? What will you reap?
