Death is Closer Than You Think — And It’s Not to Be Feared!

We don’t like to think about it, but death is closer than we imagine. The truth is, none of us is promised another day, another hour, or even another breath. But here’s the good news — for the believer, death is not to be feared. Why? Because Jesus has already conquered it. “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:55) The sting of death was sin — and Jesus paid the price on the cross. When He rose from the grave, He broke the power of death for all who put their trust in Him.
For those in Christ, death is simply the doorway into His presence. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)
So don’t live in fear of what’s ahead. Live in faith, knowing that your eternity is secure in Him. Make sure your heart is ready — and spend your days pointing others to this hope. Because death may be closer than you think… but for the child of God, it’s not the end. It’s the beginning.
