Honoring Moms Who Inspire Us – Your Stories for Mother’s Day

This Mother’s Day at Hope FM, we wanted to do more than just celebrate—we wanted to listen. So we asked you to tell us about the amazing moms in your lives—the women who have prayed, persevered, and poured out love day after day. What we received were stories that left us moved, inspired, and incredibly grateful.

Lori Brown about her mom, Diane Goodson

“She is always caring for someone else. I’d love for her to be pampered. She’s a caregiver whose patients love her—she treats them like family. She also takes care of my 43-year-old handicapped brother, and since my dad had a stroke, she’s become the main source of income. Even with a bad knee, she keeps going. She’s the best mom, wife, nana, friend, and caregiver. She’s shown me to always pray and put God first. If you ask her grandkids, they’ll tell you she hung the moon.”

“My mom is special because she supports me through everything I do—Taekwondo, band, anything. She’s always there to cheer me on, and that’s what makes her amazing.”

Sunshine about her mom, Kay

“She is truly the definition of strong. She walked through the war of addiction with me and never gave up—praying and loving me through the darkest times. She’s overcome addiction herself, and this month we’re celebrating 9 years in recovery together. She never gets out, but I know she’d love this. She loves the Lord and her family with her whole heart.”

“My mom is special to me because she loves me and helps me get ready for school. She takes care of me when I’m sick and plays with me when I have no one else to play with.”

“My mother is an extraordinary role model. She gives of her time, money, resources, and talents to everyone around her—baking, sewing, visiting, caring. She never seeks recognition. She’s always reminded me that you can’t out-give God. Her faith is unshakable and her servanthood is an inspiration to our whole community.”
