I worked for a company that would sometimes hold big meetings for all the managers. It was a big deal where we’d have to get everything ready and just right because the "important people" were coming to visit. But that didn’t compare to when the BIG bosses (the owners of the company) would come to town. Then everything had to be readied and meticulously in order.
Each year at Christmas we do all sorts of preparations to celebrate the holiday. But what if we did what the carol says and "let every heart prepare Him room." In Luke 2 we read about the most amazing and revolutionary thing that would ever happen on earth, the Creator was going to visit His creation. At Christmas we celebrate that coming each year. In all the hustle and bustle that it has become, let’s not forget to prepare Him room in our hearts.
