Sometimes a song comes along that you don't just hear—you feel it deep in your spirit.
Tauren Wells has a gift for creating music that speaks to the church while reaching far beyond its walls, and his newest single, “Breathe On It,” is one of those songs.
It carries a powerful invitation: lean in, lift your voice, and believe God can bring life to what looks dead.
The song draws our hearts toward the power of the Holy Spirit, reminding us of the imagery of Acts 2, the valley of dry bones, and resurrection power. It's a cry for revival. A declaration of freedom. And a reminder that what appears lifeless isn't necessarily finished.
And I'll tell you why this song hits me personally. I know what it's like to be dry bones.
There was a time in my life when I was spiritually dead—living in a land of brokenness, pain, and spiritual destitution. From the outside, maybe things looked like I had it all together, but inside, there was something missing. I needed more than a fresh start. I needed God to breathe life into me.
And He did.
By the grace of God and through the power of the resurrection, those dry bones began to live again. God took someone who was spiritually empty and gave me a new heart, a new freedom, a new purpose, and a new reason to get up every morning and serve Him.
And here's the part I love most: If God can breathe life into these dry bones, He can breathe life into yours.
Maybe something in your life feels dead. Maybe it's a dream you buried years ago. Maybe it's your faith. Maybe it's your joy. Maybe you've been walking through a valley so long you've forgotten what it feels like to stand on a mountaintop.
Don't give up. The same God who spoke life into dry bones is still breathing life today.
So as you listen to Tauren Wells and “Breathe On It,” don't just listen to the music. Let the message speak to your heart.
Believe that God can revive what has grown weary.
Believe that He can restore what has been broken.
Believe that He can resurrect what you thought was dead.
Because our God is still in the business of bringing dead things back to life.
God is good. His grace is amazing. His resurrection power is real.
So turn it up, open your heart, and let God breathe on it.
