Spiritual warfare. It's real, and it's something every believer faces.
Josiah Queen's new song, "demons," is an honest reminder that we all face battles, but we don't fight them alone.
About the song, Josiah shared:
“This song came from a real battle in my mind and the reminder that I don’t fight alone. When I prayed, God didn’t just hear me—He answered. It’s a declaration that fear and darkness don’t get the final word when your trust and hope is in Jesus.”
There's a saying that goes, "He has his demons." Sometimes demons can be literal. Absolutely. But often, they show up in the form of addiction, past trauma, painful memories, anger issues, fear, anxiety, guilt, and shame—the personal struggles that weigh us down and keep us from growing.
We've all had sleepless nights, carried burdens that seemed too heavy, or wrestled with thoughts that wouldn't let us rest. We know what it feels like to be haunted by our past or tormented by our fears.
But here's the good news: while the battles we face are real, they are not more powerful than Jesus.
In the Gospel of Luke 10:17, the seventy-two disciples returned with joy and said:
"Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name!"
There is power in the name of Jesus. Fear doesn't get the final word. Darkness doesn't get the final word. Shame doesn't get the final word.
Because of Jesus, you have been ransomed and redeemed. Through His sacrifice, the power of darkness has been broken.
So whatever "demons" you're facing today, remember this truth: You do not fight alone, and darkness cannot stay where the name of Jesus is proclaimed!
