Thirty Years of Hope

The biblical meaning of the number 30 carries deep significance. Throughout Scripture, 30 is often associated with maturity, preparation, and dedication to a God-given calling. Jesus began His earthly ministry at the age of 30 (Luke 3:23). John the Baptist also stepped into public ministry at this age. Likewise, Aaronic priests were formally set apart for service when they reached 30, marking a season when training met readiness and calling met commitment.
But what does dedication really mean?
At its core, dedication is “very strong support for or loyalty to someone or something.” Biblically, dedication goes even deeper. It is a wholehearted commitment that remains steady over time. It is choosing faithfulness when the work is unseen, perseverance when the days are long, and obedience even when the results aren’t immediate. Dedication is not fueled by convenience or applause—it is sustained by calling.
In 2026, Hope FM celebrates 30 years of dedication to its calling.
While I am new to this ministry, having joined the team in late September of 2025, it hasn’t taken long to see the fruit of that dedication. The impact of this “hometown Christian radio station” is woven into the fabric of our community. It’s heard in the voices of listeners who share how a song arrived at just the right moment. It’s seen in the unity of churches coming together. It’s felt in the prayers lifted daily over the airwaves.
Dedication looks like consistency. It shows up day after day with the same mission in mind. It looks like intentionality in every announcement, every concert, every prayer, every radio show, and yes, every fundraiser (can anyone say, Trot for Hope?) Through every season, Hope FM has remained faithful to what God first called it to do: proclaiming our Lord Jesus Christ in both word and deed.
Thirty years is not simply a milestone to celebrate, it is a testimony. A testimony of God’s faithfulness. A testimony of listeners who partner in prayer and support. A testimony of staff, volunteers, and leadership who have stayed the course. And perhaps most importantly, a testimony that when a calling is met with dedication, God continues to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.
As Hope FM steps into its 30th year, it does so not resting on past accomplishments, but standing in maturity, ready for what God has next.
